Forever Manchester Week 2017

Posted on 2/6/2017 by Katherine Memery

Today marks the beginning of Forever Manchester Week, a 9-day long celebration of all things Mancunian. From 2nd – 11th June, individuals and businesses across the region will be coming together to take part in Manchester-themed fundraising events to raise money for community projects across Greater Manchester.

At Realm, we are committed to supporting Forever Manchester, with our director, Duane, an ambassador for the organisation. We’ll be taking part in a range of different activities throughout the week to raise as much money as possible and spread the word about the fantastic cause.

This morning, the fundraising fun kicked off when we attended the Forever Manchester Week launch party. However, this was no ordinary party; instead of sipping champagne and munching on canapes, we got up at the crack of dawn to take part in the first Sunrise Sessions, a high-intensity 'ravercise' class outside Menagerie in the city centre.

Despite the early start, we had a fantastic time and even met the Forever Manchester mascot, Captain Manchester! Afterwards, we cooled down with a refreshing 'Gym and Juice' and tucked into bacon sandwiches to get ourselves geared up for the working day ahead.

Next week, the rest of the team will be getting stuck in and doing all they can to raise money for our favourite charity.  Director Duane and consultants Joe and Chris will be leaving their cars at home, giving the train a miss and instead, walking to work. Together, they will be walking around 40 miles just to get into the office!

We’ll also be battling it out with other Mancunian businesses in the Big Forever Manchester Quiz of the Year next Wednesday. Later in the week, we'll be hosting a coffee, cake and toast morning at Realm HQ.

Stay tuned to find out more about our Forever Manchester activity and find out how much we’ve raised...
