Contentious Probate Senior Associate 5+ PQE – Three days from home – Progression – Amazing bonus

Apply now

This is an exciting opportunity for a private client or litigation solicitor with at least five years’ experience to join the private client team of a highly regarded, full-service firm with offices across the North West, to specialise in the highly desirable area of contentious probate.
The role would suit someone with experience of working with contentious probate matters, either as part of a private client or litigation team, and is looking to develop niche expertise that will stand them in good stead for the future.
Contentious probate is a growing area of law with relatively few lawyers specialising in it, which means it often commands a higher salary across the market.
You will join an experienced team of private client solicitors and be able to work most of your week from home if you wish (up to three days!).
The department has a fantastic reputation, a growing caseload of good quality, HNW work available, and is ranked in Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners.
The firm has a fantastic employee retention record, with the role only becoming available due to genuine organic growth.  Many of the firm’s partners and senior management team have been with the firm since solicitor or associate-level, demonstrating the unrivalled career path you could forge here.
Quite unusually, there are also non-traditional routes to management for those lawyers who aren’t sure they want to remain fee-earning for the rest of their career.
In addition to a competitive salary, the firm also offers an enhanced annual leave allowance and pension provision, healthcare scheme, death in service and subsidised parking scheme.
The firm sets very reasonable billing targets (enabling you to achieve an attractive work/life balance), and its bonus scheme kicks in when you reach 80% of your target, providing an extremely attainable way to bump up your annual salary significantly.
In addition, all solicitors in the team are supported in undertaking STEP or ACTAPS qualifications, if they wish to.
The firm has a fantastic approach to equal opportunities and will consider part-time applicants.
