market-leading and growing law firm is looking for a Contentious Probate Solicitor to join their national team. 

As part of the firm’s Legal-500 recognised contentious probate department, you’ll run a varied and interesting caseload of wills, trusts and estates disputes and benefit from fantastic internal referral opportunities.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced contentious probate solicitor or a litigation solicitor who is ready to take their next step. 

Contentious Probate Solicitor – Manchester / Remote 

The company & role  

  • A national firm with a longstanding commitment to personal legal services and a market leader in a number of private client-facing practice areas 

  • You will join a well-regarded national contentious probate team with a supportive, friendly culture 

  • Working alongside leading solicitors, you’ll handle a mixed caseload of high-quality matters including disputes between beneficiaries and executors or trustees regarding the performance of their duties and the administration of estates of trusts 

  • You’ll also assist in supervising junior lawyers and join the rest of the team in contributing to business development 

  • This is a really exciting time to join as the team are continuing to grow both in Manchester and nationally, with enquiries 3 times what they were last year 

  • Commutable from Manchester, Cheshire, Preston, Liverpool and Yorkshire

The ideal candidate 

  • A Contentious Probate Solicitor or Litigation Solicitor with 5-8 years’ PQE 

  • While this is a contentious probate role, the firm are happy to also consider litigation solicitors who have experience of dealing with disputes in this area
  • Will have excellent client care and interpersonal skills 

  • May have contacts in the local market and some following of work 

  • A confident communicator who is comfortable undertaking business development activity/networking 

  • Ideally, you will be ACTAPS qualified but this is not essential
