Costs Draftsperson/Negotiator Complex Injury – Four days from home – Reduced-hour week
Our client, a market-leading national insurance law firm, is looking for a costs draftsperson/negotiator to join its team specialising in advising on complex injury cases in Bolton.
Our client is one of the country’s leading insurance litigation law firms and routinely represents household-name insurer clients. While it has offices across the UK, it is headquartered in the North West – so you’ll be at the centre of the action.
The complex injury team is growing, so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to progress and develop your career.
The right candidate with at least two years’ experience in a costs role specialising in claimant or defendant litigation cases, ideally where costs claimed can reach up to £150,000. You’ll have previous experience of client liaison and of preparing points of dispute and considering replies.
In the role, you’ll be drafting and negotiating budgets, drafting points of dispute and negotiating costs settlements, as well as advising internal teams on costs points.
The firm takes a “people first” approach, promoting a healthy work/life balance through a reduced-hours week (35 hours) and flexible/home working, so you’ll be able to fit your work around your personal commitments.
The firm invests in its team members from day one, starting with a structured on-boarding programme and continuing via a structured development and progression plan. Indeed, learning and development is a core part of the firm’s company culture.
You’ll have plenty of opportunities to learn from more senior colleagues, including some of the country’s most well-known experts, and cultivate new skills which will enable you to progress in your career.
Pay is competitive and its benefits package is as you’d expect of a national firm and includes private medical insurance, critical illness cover, access to a virtual GP and several high street discounts.
