Head of Wills & Probate
- Unrivalled opportunity to take a supported step up into a leadership role
- Brand-new role to drive growth
- Extremely generous bonus scheme – 20% of anything over target
- Hybrid working
- Existing caseload of work
A highly regarded regional law firm based in Warwickshire is looking for an experienced private client solicitor to step up into a brand-new Head of Wills & Probate position, adding further structure to its growing team.
This is an opportunity to take a supported step up into a leadership role and grow out a team of your own with the support of the wider senior private client team based in two other offices.
You will effectively be building out a third team in a new location, leveraging the reputation, client base and mentorship that already exists within the firm.
The scope for progression here is unlimited, plus you’ll be able to top up your earnings substantially with a bonus of 20% of anything you bill over target.
The team handles a caseload of will drafting, complex estate planning, trust creation, probate cases, and LPAs, and there is an established bank of work for you and a budding team to get stuck into.
There is no minimum level of PQE required for the role, but the right candidate will have proven experience in private client law, including complex estates and probate cases, and have some experience in supervising or managing junior members of staff.
In the role, you’ll lead a team to meet its goals, ensuring the team delivers an excellent standard of service to clients while identifying opportunities to build out the team’s caseload.
You will work as part of a supportive team with hybrid working and you’ll be well-supported with your cases, as the firm has a ton of paralegal and secretarial support.
The firm also offers a significantly enhanced annual leave package, which includes your birthday off and additional leave for the Christmas period. The role also comes with a host of other benefits, including free parking.
