Litigation Partner – Future Head of Team

We are delighted to bring to market this exclusive role for a multi-award-winning law firm in Manchester, which is recruiting for a Litigation Solicitor with 6+ PQE to join as a Partner and take a supported step up into a Head of Department role in the near future.

While the firm is based in Manchester, the role can be fully remote if you wish. This, in addition to a generous flexitime policy (you can work when you want) and a four-day week (where you get paid for five days), means this is the most flexible litigation partner role on the market right now.

Your mission will be to get up to speed with the team’s current client base and work types and take over from the current head of team when you are ready, as they step up into a senior leadership role within the business.

You need not be a Partner right now, as the firm will consider applications from Solicitors, Associates and Senior Associates with the requisite experience.

You will eventually lead and supervise of small team of litigators dealing with a varied caseload of shareholder disputes, medium-to-high value commercial contract disputes and complex cross-jurisdictional matters. The team acts for a lot of international business clients, so a significant proportion of its caseload has an international element. The team is currently working on a multimillion-pound arbitration.

The right person will have strong commercial litigation expertise, including experience in international/cross-border disputes. You will be comfortable generating work and be able to bring a small pool of clients and/or referrers with you.
