Paralegal – Retrain opportunity into Court of Protection – Hybrid working – Tier 1 Legal 500

Apply now

A full-service law firm with offices across Yorkshire is seeking a Paralegal to join its Trust and Court of Protection Administration Team and retrain as a Court of Protection specialist based in its Sheffield office.

You do not necessarily need experience in Court of Protection work, but experience of a field such as clinical negligence, personal injury, private client, or health and social care would be desirable, and you will need to be able to manage your own caseload effectively.

Court of Protection work is a highly desired (and therefore valuable) skill in the legal market, commanding higher salaries than, for example, areas such as clinical negligence or personal injury. This is, therefore, a career-making opportunity to move into this practice area offering a bright and prosperous future.

You’ll enjoy great flexibility, as the firm offers hybrid working, with scope to increase your days from home further as you become more experienced.

The team forms part of one of largest and most successful private client teams outside of London, specialising in the administration of complex, high value & prestigious estates and enjoying a Tier 1 ranking in the Legal 500. Here, you’ll find a close-knit and collegiate environment where you can have a say in the direction and future of the firm.

In the role, you’ll manage your own caseload comprising of Trusts and Court of Protection/Deputyship and attorney matters, managing a client’s assets, income and expenditure, and maintain long-term relationships with clients and other professionals.

The management team does not encourage a long hours’ culture and has purposefully set billing targets at a low level to enable its team members to enjoy a very happy life/work balance.

The firm also offers an excellent benefits package that includes private medical insurance and a generous holiday entitlement and purchase scheme.
