An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Senior Associate, or Partner who is STEP qualified, to join our client’s highly regarded Private Client Team based in Manchester city centre with the opportunity to grow the team.
This is a new role with a significant level of autonomy; starting with supporting one team member in the Manchester office.  Support for this role will be provided by the wider team based in Liverpool.
Our client advocate agile working and envisage that the successful candidate will want to work from the Manchester office as their base, but also take advantage of agile working to work from home, or the Liverpool office to suit business needs.

  • Work will include advising owners of family businesses regarding IHT and succession planning, managing family trusts, advising trustees and beneficiaries on their duties, rights and powers, administering complex estates, and advising families on generational wealth planning, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney and probate.
  • Commutable from Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire and Merseyside
The ideal candidate
  • Qualified Solicitor with proven, demonstrable extensive experience in a Private Client Team;
  • Member of the Law Society;
  • STEP qualified;
  • Interested in developing and growing a Private Client practice in Manchester;
  • Demonstrates an understanding of clients, colleagues and others;
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills;
  • The ability to work as part of a team and independently;
  • Enthusiasm to promote the firm and the Private Client Team through networking and business development activities;
  • Proactive approach to managing their day-to-day work and tasks.
