One of Greater Manchester’s most reputable law firms is looking to take on a Trainee Costs Draftsman. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Legal Secretary who would like to retrain and move into costs.
In this role, you will be part of a close-knit team and will handle a range of matters, mainly on behalf of the firm’s Childcare and Court of Protection departments.
Full training will be provided and you will have plenty of other opportunities to further develop your skills and progress your career.
Trainee Costs Draftsman (Legal Secretary Retrain) - Greater Manchester
You will be required to undertake legal costing work for various departments within the firm such as preparing and submitting bills of costs for detailed assessment

Commutable from Manchester, Stockport, Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside, Oldham, Rochdale, High Peak
Added extras and benefits
A Legal Secretary with some experience of working in a costs department or an interest in moving into costs work
Will have knowledge of Legal Aid Agency processes, including the Legal Aid Agency Portal
Will have experience in preparing, submitting and processing all types of costs drafting work in legally aided Childcare & Family cases
May have dealt with Court of Protection files before
Will have achieved good grades at GCSE level
Will have a good attention to detail
Will be happy working within a team to deadlines and targets
