If you’re a Care Solicitor looking to join a truly supportive team within a nationally respected family law firm, this could be your next step.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across the firm’s South Yorkshire offices, managing a public law caseload from start to finish and advocating for vulnerable clients at PLO meetings and in court.

Who we’re looking for

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (all levels considered, including NQs)
  • Solid understanding of childcare law and public law proceedings
  • Experience managing or assisting on own caseload of care matters
  • Advocacy experience or willingness to develop
  • Children Law Accreditation
  • Team player who contributes to a collaborative working environment
  • Friendly, compassionate approach with a passion for helping families
  • Full-time preferred; 3 days/week possible for the right person

What you’ll be doing

  • Running your own caseload of care and pre-proceedings cases
  • Managing a range of complex child law matters, including child protection, fostering, and adoption
  • Attending and representing clients at PLO meetings and in court
  • Delivering outstanding client care and communication
  • Participating in business development and sharing ideas with the wider team
  • Supporting colleagues by stepping in to cover hearings or leave where needed
