Corporate Associate Solicitor

A rapidly growing legal group is recruiting for a Corporate Solicitor with 4+ PQE to join its exciting team in Manchester at Associate level and help them capitalise on the sheer volume of referred work they have available to them. 

As there is plenty of work to get your teeth into, you’ll find lots of scope to fast-track your progression within this growing team. You’ll be able to join immediately as an Associate and expect another promotion to Senior Associate in the next 12-24 months, plus the opportunity for partnership in the future.  

The firm have a genuine interest in developing people, with plenty of opportunities to take external leadership/commercial skills courses, plus access to internal and external mentorship.  

You will advise on a mixture of M&A, corporate finance, private equity and venture capital transactions across a number of sectors, but with an emphasis on tech, digital, sports and media – so you’ll be able to build a valuable and attractive specialism in the sectors driving Manchester’s economy.  

The firm has separate commercial contracts and insolvency teams, so you won’t have to take on any of that type of work – but you’ll benefit from the steady flow of referrals from these teams and from other law firms and professional services practices within the larger international group.  

You’ll even have the opportunity to travel abroad, if you wish to, including the potential of international secondments.  

The firm has opened a brand-new office in central Manchester and offers a 3/2 hybrid working policy (with extra flexibility for when you need it).  

You won’t have to get involved in BD and networking (unless you want to), as there is plenty of work available, but you will need to have solid experience of M&A deals and have the confidence to manage the client experience throughout, from scoping and pricing the job to aftercare.
