A national law firm is looking for a Costs Draftsperson to join its growing team in Greater Manchester and be part of its next exciting growth phase, setting themselves up for a potential management role in the near future.

It is an exciting time to join the Costs team as the department continues to flourish under new leadership, with ambitious plans to grow headcount further.
The team has a fantastic reputation as experts in their field for both defendant and claimant cost negotiation and advocacy.
You’ll get exposure to and engagement with senior figures in the business, giving you significant influence and the opportunity to set a fantastic career trajectory.
Pay is competitive and its benefits package is as you’d expect of a national firm, and includes private medical insurance, critical illness cover, access to a virtual GP and several high street discounts.
You will need to be a skilled and efficient draftsperson, able to produce N260s and bills of costs (to include E-Bills). You will be a confident negotiator with experience drafting Replies and managing procedural issues as appropriate.
You should be open to diversifying into other areas of costs to include fixed costs, paying party work, and costs management including drafting, negotiating and advocacy where needed. Work areas serviced by the department include insurance claims, commercial litigation, and judicial review.
