Dispute Resolution Associate/Senior Associate

We’re working with a national commercial law firm to recruit a Dispute Resolution Associate or Senior Associate Solicitor to join their respected litigation team in Manchester.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a highly experienced, close-knit team of commercial litigation specialists handling complex disputes often worth seven figures. With no financial or billable hour targets, the focus is purely on delivering an exceptional service to clients and honing your skills as a litigation lawyer.

The team is going through an exciting period of growth following internal promotions, meaning there’s a genuine gap at Associate/Senior Associate level. You’ll get stuck in from day one — supporting juniors, handling your own caseload, and collaborating on high-profile cases involving some of the UK’s top barristers.

Who we’re looking for

• 4+ PQE for Associate and 7+ PQE for Senior Associate
• Strong commercial litigation background
• Exposure to complex disputes and High Court litigation
• Capable of running files independently and working on multi-lawyer cases
• Confident, proactive, and collaborative
• No ego – thrives in a team environment where shared success matters most
• Ambitious and open to growing into a future leadership role

What you’ll be doing

• Managing your own caseload of complex commercial litigation matters
• Working on high-value disputes including shareholder, contract, construction, defamation and contentious probate
• Supporting junior team members and delegating where appropriate
• Collaborating with partners on big-ticket litigation worth up to £12m
• Getting involved in business development (training will be given if needed)
• Becoming a key part of a high-performing and growing department
