EL/PL Solicitor
Hot Job
- Manage quality EL/PL work with no fixed financial targets
- Hybrid working with up to 3 days from home and genuinely manageable caseloads
- Clear progression in a supportive Personal Injury team that backs your development
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced EL/PL solicitor or file handler to join a well-established personal injury team in Sale, handling Fast Track and Multi-Track matters from start to finish.
You’ll become fully familiar with internal systems and processes and take ownership of a defined caseload. You’ll also be managing files confidently and contributing to wider team initiatives.
Over time, there’s genuine scope to step into a more senior role, mentor junior colleagues, and take on increasingly complex cases, without the pressure of rigid billing targets or a factory-style environment.
This role is ideal for someone who wants autonomy, quality work, and progression, while still enjoying a healthy work–life balance.
Who we’re looking for
- Personal Injury solicitor or file holder with 3+ years’ PQE
- Strong experience handling EL/PL and RTA matters
- Confident managing Fast Track and Multi-Track files independently
- Solid technical knowledge of personal injury law and procedure
- Proactive, organised, and resilient
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a team environment
- Experience using a case management system (Proclaim desirable)
What you’ll be doing
- Managing a caseload of Fast Track and Multi-Track EL/PL and RTA claims
- Running files from instruction through to settlement or hearing
- Drafting pleadings, correspondence, and settlement documentation
- Negotiating with insurers and third parties
- Attending hearings where required
- Ensuring files are progressed efficiently, compliantly, and with excellent client care
- Maintaining accurate records on the case management system
- Supporting junior colleagues and contributing to team initiatives over time
Salary & Benefits
- No fixed financial targets
- Firm-wide annual bonus, plus individual bonus for strong performance
- Hybrid working with up to 3 days working from home
- Flexible working hours to support work–life balance
- Smaller caseloads to allow focus on quality work and development
- Clear progression opportunities, including mentoring juniors and stepping into senior or team-lead roles
- Supportive, trusted management who actively back progression
- 20 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, increasing by one day each year
