Family Associate/Senior Associate

Hot Job

Apply now
  • Private Family Solicitor role with genuine progression to Director level
  • 100% private funded HNW work with realistic expectations
  • Hybrid flexibility, strong support and no egos

This is an opportunity to join a growing and ambitious Lancashire-based firm with serious plans for expansion, but without losing its down-to-earth, people-first culture.

The Family department has been built through strategic hires and strong reputation. Work comes in consistently, largely through returning clients and brand strength, and the focus is firmly on quality and client care over volume.

If you’re an ambitious Family Solicitor who wants real progression, autonomy and meaningful HNW work, without corporate politics, this is worth exploring.

Who we’re looking for

  • Family Solicitor (5-8 PQE)
  • Strong background in private funded family law
  • Experience in financial remedy and children matters
  • Following welcome but not essential
  • Supportive, approachable and team-focused
  • High standards of client care and professionalism
  • HNW exposure desirable (assets up to £5m) (Desired)

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing a 100% private funded caseload
  • Approx. 80% financial remedy and 20% children matters
  • Handling complex HNW work with assets up to £5m
  • Maintaining an active caseload typically between 25–45 files (depending on complexity)
  • Drafting, negotiating and undertaking advocacy where appropriate
  • Working collaboratively within a supportive Family team
  • Contributing to growth, whether through fee earning excellence or BD (entirely tailored to you)

There is no requirement to do business development if that’s not your strength. The firm has strong marketing infrastructure and a steady flow of work. Networking opportunities are available for those who enjoy it.

Salary & Benefits

  • Case-by-case bonus structures available
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Christmas shutdown
  • Hybrid working (typically 2–3 days in office)
  • Open to 4-day weeks / part-time
  • No rigid working hours
  • Clearly defined progression ladders with no artificial barriers
  • Long-term stability with ambitious organic growth and expansion plans
  • Supportive, collaborative culture with no egos
  • Clear progression pathways for all levels
