Insolvency Associate or Snr Associate 4+ PQE – Top tier Legal 500 team – Hybrid working
We’re recruiting for an Insolvency Associate or Senior Associate with at least four years’ PQE to join a reputable, friendly, Tier 1 Legal 500 team based in South Manchester.
This is a fantastic promotion opportunity for a solicitor or associate level insolvency lawyer looking for their next step up the career ladder.
The role comes with a fantastic salary and hybrid working, as you’ll be able to work from home for two days per week. For the rest of the time, you’ll be based at the firm’s state-of-art offices in South Manchester.
You’ll be acting on a varied caseload of company and personal insolvency matters for a client base of insolvency practitioners, creditors, lenders, businesses, directors and individuals. A typical month might include advising on commercial contingency planning, distressed M&A work, credit bidding, formal insolvency proceedings, out-of-court refinancing and individual bankruptcy.
Our client took a pioneering approach to billing targets years ago, when it decided to scrap these in favour of focussing on client service excellence. So, you’ll be getting ‘city centre pay’ for ‘city centre work’, but without the mega caseload, stress, politics and extended commute.
When we say ‘city centre work’, we aren’t exaggerating. The firm’s clients include brands even the shiniest national law firm would be envious of, such as Tata, Renaker, Network Rail, Lad Bible, Joseph Holt and Dulux. Their private client work involves some of the wealthiest families in South Manchester.
The firm has an excellent reputation as an employer and is well-known for its exceptional company culture. Its team have a staff retention rate of over 90% and a 99% employee confidence rating in their leaders.
On top of a very competitive salary and an excellent work-life balance, you’ll receive a range of additional benefits including generous annual leave, private healthcare, higher level pension contributions, wellbeing days off and subsidised gym membership.
The right candidate will have a solid background in contentious and non-contentious insolvency work. There is no requirement for a following, but good connections would be a bonus, as well as a willingness to get stuck in with business development to help grow the team’s network.
