This is an excellent opportunity for a Newly Qualified Court of Protection Solicitor to join a growing and successful team in Cheadle, with a caseload made up entirely of new instructions.

You’ll work alongside a well-respected Head of Department who’s built the team from the ground up and has trained all four existing team members. With clear growth plans in place and the team on track to achieve £500,000 turnover, you’ll join at an exciting time and be supported every step of the way as you build your skills and confidence.

Who we’re looking for

  • NQ – 1 PQE Solicitor or Legal Executive
  • A genuine interest in Court of Protection and serious injury work
  • Prior exposure to CoP work or PI litigation
  • Comfortable working in a paperless environment
  • Strong communication and empathy when working with vulnerable clients
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage your own small caseload of property and affairs Deputyship matters
  • Work with brain-injured and vulnerable clients with professional trustee involvement
  • Draft statutory wills, PI trusts and other CoP applications
  • Support clients with budgeting, financial planning and decision-making
  • Attend clients in care homes, hospitals or at home
  • Collaborate with your team, learn from senior lawyers and contribute to department growth

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
  • Location: Cheadle office (initially office-based for training, then hybrid – up to 4 days WFH)
