Part-time Private Client Lawyer

Apply now
  • Join a respected Yorkshire private client team as a safe, steady pair of hands
  • Manage a solid wills & LPAs caseload with exposure to higher-value work
  • Genuine long-term progression in a friendly, flexible, community-focused firm

You’ll slot into an established team, taking ownership of a steady caseload of wills, LPAs and general private client matters, relieving pressure on Directors and requiring minimal supervision.

You’ll be fully embedded, trusted by colleagues and clients alike, and, depending on your appetite, start to assist on more complex trusts or HNW work. Longer term, there’s clear scope to progress, develop a niche, and build a stable, rewarding career.

This role will particularly suit someone who enjoys bread-and-butter private client work, values work–life balance, and wants quality work without city-style targets or intensity.

Who we’re looking for

  • Private Client Solicitor or experienced non-qualified fee earner
  • Comfortable running files independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong experience in wills and LPAs
  • Exposure to estates, trusts or more complex matters (desirable)
  • Calm, reliable, and client-focused
  • A team player who fits a friendly, relationship-driven environment

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing a mixed private client caseload from instruction to completion
  • Drafting wills and LPAs
  • Advising clients clearly and confidently
  • Taking on existing WIP to support Directors
  • Working collaboratively within a well-resourced team
  • Gaining exposure to higher-value trusts, tax and cross-border work where desired
  • Maintaining strong organisation, time recording and client care

Salary & Benefits

  • Sensible, realistic targets aligned with experience
  • STEP support and mentoring
  • Exposure to HNW, trust, tax and cross-border work
  • Family-friendly policies
  • Down-to-earth, friendly, and family-focused
  • Long-standing client relationships and lots of repeat work
  • Opportunity to develop a specialist niche if desired
  • Long-term, stable role in a growing department
  • Flexible working hours
  • Up to 2 days WFH per week
  • Part-time considered, particularly for experienced candidates
