This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to step into a Legal Director role within a highly ranked team in Leeds.

You’ll be joining a department led nationally by a hugely respected figure in private client law, with a strong track record of building teams and driving growth.

Who we’re looking for

  • 8+ PQE Private Client Solicitor or Legal Director
  • STEP qualified or working towards
  • Proven experience handling complex wills, probate, estate planning, trusts, and IHT matters
  • Niche expertise (cross-border work, agricultural clients, business owners, complex trusts, PI/disability trusts)
  • Commercially minded with a track record of client and referrer relationship-building
  • Strong team player, collaborative and values-driven

What you’ll be doing

  • Running a varied caseload of complex private client matters including HNW estates, trusts, and tax planning
  • Advising business owners, agricultural clients, and individuals with cross-border interests
  • Supporting the growth of the Leeds office as part of a national expansion plan
  • Developing your own niche or specialism with the full support of the wider team
  • Contributing to business development and building long-term client relationships
  • Acting as a senior member of the team with scope to progress to Partner

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: From £75,000+ DOE (Legal Director level), with Partner packages significantly higher
  • Bonus scheme + Partner-level benefits (including expensed car, fuel and parking at Partner grade)
