Private Client Senior Associate Solicitor

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to step into a senior, leadership-focused role in North Birmingham, with the autonomy to build and run an office while being fully supported by a larger, established firm.
The role has been created as part of a wider growth strategy, with a clear intention to develop a strong private client presence in the area. You’ll take the lead day to day, managing people, work and commercials, while benefiting from a steady flow of higher-quality instructions referred in from a city-based office.
Who we’re looking for
- Private Client solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE
- Comfortable handling a broad private client caseload, including estates and trusts
- Experience with trusts and complex estates (Desired)
- STEP qualification or working towards STEP (Desired)
- Confident working autonomously and taking ownership of a small office
- Positive, proactive attitude with the resilience to work between a smaller office and the city base
- Interest in leadership, management and the commercial side of running a practice
What you’ll be doing
- Leading and developing the private client offering from the Birmingham office
- Managing a mixed caseload of private client work, with a focus on estates and trusts
- Overseeing and supporting a small but growing local team
- Playing a key role in the commercial and operational management of the office (with support and guidance provided)
- Contributing to team-wide targets while maintaining your own individual performance
- Working closely with colleagues in the Birmingham office to share work, ideas and best practice
