This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Private Client Solicitor to take the reins of an established caseload and play a pivotal role in the growth of a small but busy team.
The firm is looking for a technically strong lawyer with the confidence to work independently, supervise junior colleagues, and if they wish, step into a future Head of Department role. While a following isn’t essential, someone with connections in the region and an appetite for business development would thrive here.
With cross-referral work already coming in from other departments and solid paralegal support available, this is a role where you can build something meaningful without starting from scratch.
Who we’re looking for
- Private Client Solicitor with 5–10 PQE
- Able to run your own caseload of wills, probate, LPAs, and trusts independently
- Experience supervising junior lawyers or paralegals
- Desire and capability to step into a future Head of Department role
- Strong regional network and BD experience
What you’ll be doing
- Taking over the existing caseload from a retiring Partner
- Handling new instructions from internal referrals (e.g., Clin Neg and COP teams)
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members
- Working collaboratively across departments
- Potentially taking on a leadership role as Head of Department
- Helping shape the future growth of the team
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: Competitive, based on experience
- Bonus: Up to 14% annual bonus
- Holidays: 33 days incl. bank holidays
- Annual pay reviews each Spring
- Hybrid working: 6 days/month office attendance
- Location: Can be based at any office – Leeds preferred, but also open to Manchester, Southport or Liverpool
- Flexible working hours, strong progression potential
