  • Private Family Associate role handling HNW and complex matters
  • Legal 500 team with up to 3 days working from home
  • Strong salary, flexibility, and long-term progression in a close-knit team

This is an excellent opportunity for a Private Family Solicitor to join a well-regarded Legal 500 family team in Lancashire, at a point of positive change and growth.

The team is rebalancing after internal restructuring, creating space for a strong associate to come in and take on high-quality work from day one. You’ll be trusted to handle complex, high-net-worth divorce, financial remedy and private children matters, while benefiting from flexibility that’s rare in city-centre firms.

With partners generating a steady flow of work, this is a role where you can focus on fee earning, development and client care, in a genuinely supportive environment.

Who we’re looking for

  • 3–5 years’ PQE in private family law
  • Strong experience in divorce, financial remedy and private children work
  • Comfortable handling complex and high-net-worth matters
  • Experience working as an associate-level fee earner
  • Someone who fits a down-to-earth, no-ego, team-first culture
  • Willingness to be involved in some networking and relationship-building (Desired)

What you’ll be doing

  • Running your own caseload of:
    • Divorce
    • Financial remedy
    • Private children matters
  • Working with high-value and complex family law clients
  • Delivering excellent client care with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
  • Supporting the growth of the Wigan team as it continues to build out
  • Getting involved in light BD and networking (partners lead on work generation)

Salary & Benefits

  • Hybrid working – 2 days in the office, 3 from home
  • Flexible working hours, log off earlier or later when it suits
  • Private healthcare
  • Employee Assistance Programme (counselling and wellbeing support)
  • Pension (4% employer contribution)
  • Life insurance
  • Two firmwide social events per year, including internal staff awards
  • Ongoing training, development and clear progression opportunities
