We’re looking for a Residential Conveyancer to join a respected high street practice in Altrincham, part of a wider legal group.

You’ll enjoy the close-knit, down-to-earth feel of a local firm, with the backing, systems, and security of a larger organisation.

Who we’re looking for

• Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer (CLC) or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx) with 3–5 years PQE
• Previous experience managing your own residential conveyancing caseload
• High street or mid-tier law firm background preferred
• Strong client relationship skills and ability to communicate confidently with third parties
• Organised, reliable, and comfortable working independently
• Down-to-earth, approachable personality with a community mindset

What you’ll be doing

• Managing a caseload of residential conveyancing matters from start to finish
• Acting on freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, new builds, and unregistered land
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other third parties
• Ensuring compliance with SRA regulations and internal processes
• Working collaboratively with colleagues, including support staff
• Contributing to the team’s local reputation and client relationships

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £35,000–£45,000 depending on experience
• Hours: 9–5 core hours with some flexibility
• Hybrid: Limited home working (typically 1 day per week after induction)
