This is an opportunity for an experienced residential conveyancing solicitor to join a large, fast-moving conveyancing operation in Stockport, handling a full caseload of residential property matters within a structured, performance-driven team.
In your first six months, you’ll be expected to independently manage a full caseload of sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity using Proclaim, while building strong relationships with clients, agents, and lenders. By 12 months, you’ll be performing consistently at volume, contributing to efficiency improvements and potentially supporting junior colleagues. Longer term, there’s genuine scope to progress into a senior conveyancer or team leader role, with additional routes into management or training contracts for those who want them.
This role suits someone resilient, confident, and comfortable in a fast-paced conveyancing environment where expectations are high and performance is recognised.
Who we’re looking for
- Residential Conveyancer with strong high-volume experience
- Comfortable managing 40+ files across sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, and new builds
- Experience using Proclaim (highly desirable)
- Confident handling client expectations and third-party relationships
- Organised, assertive, and able to work under pressure
- Open to 2–5 PQE, with more senior candidates (8–10 PQE) considered for leadership roles
- Team-oriented but able to work autonomously
What you’ll be doing
- Managing the full lifecycle of residential conveyancing transactions
- Running a busy caseload independently using Proclaim
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and brokers
- Meeting task-based KPIs (not billable hours)
- Maintaining compliance and quality standards
- Contributing to team efficiency and process improvements
- Mentoring junior colleagues where appropriate
