This is a genuinely rare opportunity for an experienced Commercial Litigator to join a small but established practice and help shape the future of its commercial litigation offering.

The team works almost entirely remotely. There’s no hierarchy-heavy structure, no micromanagement, and no expectation to sit in an office for the sake of it. Instead, this is a role for someone who enjoys autonomy, personal responsibility, and the freedom to run their own matters, and grow something meaningful over time.

The firm is looking for someone who can hit the ground running, bring a modest following or strong contacts, and generate their own work. In return, you’ll be trusted to manage your diary, your clients, and your workload in a way that suits you.

Who we’re looking for

• Strong background in commercial litigation and disputes
• Experience in commercial landlord & tenant, rent arrears and possession matters
• Comfortable generating and managing your own client base
• Insolvency experience (Desired)
• Happy operating in a small team without heavy support structures
• Self-starter and natural go-getter
• Comfortable with autonomy and accountability
• Thrives in a high-trust, low-oversight environment

What you’ll be doing

• Running your own commercial litigation caseload
• Generating and developing your own work and contacts
• Handling a range of commercial disputes, typically quick-turnaround matters rather than heavyweight litigation
• Supporting the growth of a small commercial litigation team
• Helping shape how the department develops over time

There’s no expectation to inherit a large existing caseload, the emphasis is very much on building your own practice, with realistic billing expectations.
