Clinical & Dental Negligence Solicitor

Apply now
  • Remote-first role with the flexibility to work from the Macclesfield office whenever you choose
  • Manage your own clinical and dental negligence caseload from day one with genuine autonomy
  • Join a growing specialist team with clear opportunities to progress as the department expands

If you’re ready to take the next step in your clinical negligence career, this role gives you the opportunity to do exactly that.

You’ll join a growing specialist team with a consistent flow of quality work, allowing you to take ownership of your own clinical and dental negligence caseload from the outset. Rather than supporting someone else’s files, you’ll be trusted to manage your own claims, make decisions and guide clients through what are often some of the most challenging experiences of their lives.

From your first day, you’ll handle a varied mix of clinical negligence matters, including misdiagnosis, surgical negligence, medication errors and dental negligence claims. As your experience develops, you’ll continue broadening your technical expertise while working on increasingly complex cases and building a reputation as a trusted adviser to your clients.

The culture is built around trust rather than micromanagement. You’ll have the freedom to manage your workload in the way that works best for you, backed by a supportive team that’s always on hand when needed. As the department continues to grow, so too will the opportunities to take on more responsibility and progress your career.

Who we’re looking for

  • Solicitor or Fee Earner with at least two years’ experience in Clinical Negligence
  • Proven ability to manage clinical negligence claims independently
  • Experience handling a range of medical and dental negligence matters
  • Excellent client care and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and case management skills
  • Able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team
  • Experience using Proclaim or another case management system (desirable)

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing your own caseload of clinical and dental negligence claims
  • Progressing matters from instruction through to settlement or trial
  • Advising clients with empathy and clarity throughout the claims process
  • Reviewing medical records and evidence to assess liability and develop case strategy
  • Liaising with medical experts, counsel and third parties
  • Negotiating settlements where appropriate
  • Maintaining high standards of file management, compliance and client care

Salary & benefits

  • Competitive salary depending on experience
  • Remote-first working with the option to work from the Macclesfield office
  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • Genuine progression opportunities as the team continues to grow
  • Supportive, collaborative and non-corporate culture
  • Modern technology to support flexible and efficient working
