Court of Protection Senior Associate Solicitor

Apply now
  • High-value, complex Property & Finance caseload
  • Lead and develop a Legal 500-recognised Court of Protection team
  • Progression route to leadership in a national powerhouse

If you’re a senior Court of Protection solicitor with solid experience in complex Property and Finance matters, this is a rare opportunity to take a leading role in one of the most respected Court of Protection teams in the UK.

You’ll join a national law firm with a standout reputation in Court of Protection work. The firm is growing rapidly and, due to high levels of demand and team utilisation, they’re now looking to appoint an experienced lawyer who can provide strategic support, supervision, and lead from the front.

This is not a health & welfare role; you’ll work exclusively on high-value, complex P&F work, much of which comes from the firm’s substantial catastrophic injury and clinical negligence teams. You’ll also play a vital part in managing team performance, supervising juniors, and contributing to the growth of this Legal 500-recognised department.

Who we’re looking for

  • 6+ years’ PQE as a qualified solicitor
  • Strong Court of Protection experience, exclusively in Property & Finance
  • Comfortable managing complex elderly client and deputyship cases
  • Supervisory or line management experience
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for Court of Protection and team leadership

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing your own high-value, complex P&F Court of Protection caseload
  • Supporting partner in team supervision and development
  • Contributing to business development and the firm’s continued growth
  • Working collaboratively with senior associates and wider teams
  • Acting as a leader and mentor within the Birmingham office

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary up to £83,000
  • Performance and business-related bonus
  • Access to a nationally recognised team and Legal 500-ranked firm
  • Clear pathway to Legal Director or Partner, depending on your ambitions
  • In-house billing and admin support
  • Cutting-edge tech and systems for efficient file management
  • Strong cross-referral pipeline from Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence teams

This is a brilliant chance to step into a role where your leadership skills and Court of Protection expertise can truly shine, and where there’s no limit on how far you can go.
