Court of Protection Solicitor
Hot Job
- Handle complex Court of Protection files worth £15–£20 million
- Join a fast-growing Leeds team with genuine long-term progression potential
- Hybrid working, strong flexibility and national-quality work without city-centre burnout culture
Court of Protection lawyers often reach a point where they want more complexity, more responsibility and better-quality work — without sacrificing flexibility or ending up in an environment driven purely by targets.
This Leeds-based role offers exactly that. The team is growing rapidly as part of a wider national expansion strategy, and they’re now looking for a Property & Finance Court of Protection Solicitor who can take ownership of high-value deputyship matters while developing into a key long-term member of the department.
The work itself is particularly strong. You’ll handle your own caseload of Property & Affairs matters while also supporting on catastrophic injury-related files involving substantial damages awards, including birth injury cases with deputyship values in the region of £15–£20 million. It’s the kind of work that gives you genuine technical depth and exposure far earlier than many comparable teams can offer.
You’ll work closely with clients, families, case managers and medical professionals, becoming deeply involved in helping vulnerable individuals manage complex financial affairs following life-changing injuries. The role combines technical challenge with genuinely meaningful client work, making it especially rewarding for someone who enjoys building relationships as much as handling the legal side.
The culture is another major draw. Despite operating nationally, the environment feels supportive, collaborative and refreshingly down-to-earth. There’s strong mentoring from senior Court of Protection specialists, clear progression pathways and a genuine commitment to flexibility and wellbeing. The Leeds team itself is still growing, so there’s real opportunity for someone to establish themselves early and progress quickly over time.
