This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing, specialist Court of Protection team within a national firm that has expanded significantly in recent years.
You’ll step into a role where you’ll run your own caseload of Property & Affairs deputyship and PI trust matters, working closely with vulnerable clients and their families, while also supporting and supervising junior members of the team. The work is varied, meaningful and complex, with a strong emphasis on client care, sustainability of funding, and long-term planning.

Who we’re looking for
- Court of Protection Solicitor (NQ–2 PQE)
- Experience in Property & Affairs deputyship work
- Experience setting up and running PI trusts
- Strong empathy and confidence working with vulnerable clients and families
- Organised, professional and proud of the quality of your work
- Interest in supporting, supervising and developing junior team members (Desired)
- Exposure to statutory wills, gifts and related applications (Desired)
What you’ll be doing
- Managing your own caseload of deputyship and trustee matters (pre- and post-settlement)
- Preparing and managing deputyship budgets, forecasts and annual accounts
- Handling applications to the Court of Protection and related matters
- Meeting clients in their homes, hospitals or care settings
- Liaising with financial advisers regarding investments
- Delegating and supervising tasks within the team
- Supporting junior colleagues through supervision, training and appraisals
- Contributing to team meetings, training sessions and business development activity
