This is a rare opportunity to join a specialist Court of Protection team supporting vulnerable individuals and their families through some of life’s most important decisions.
Whether you already have Health & Welfare experience or you’re currently working in Family, Mental Health, Private Client or Property & Affairs Court of Protection and looking for a new challenge, you’ll receive the support needed to develop within this growing specialist area.
You’ll work on meaningful cases involving capacity, care, treatment and living arrangements, helping clients navigate complex situations with empathy, clarity and expert guidance.
Who we’re looking for
- Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer with up to 3 years’ PQE
- Experience in Court of Protection, Family, Mental Health, Private Client, safeguarding or other vulnerable client work
- Health & Welfare Court of Protection experience (Desired)
- Property & Affairs Court of Protection experience and an interest in retraining (Desired)
- Strong client care and communication skills
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
What you’ll be doing
- Managing a varied caseload of Court of Protection Health & Welfare matters
- Supporting individuals who lack capacity regarding care, treatment and living arrangements
- Advising clients, families and professionals on best-interest decisions and Court applications
- Attending hospitals, CPA meetings and client appointments
- Corresponding with courts, the Legal Aid Agency and third parties
- Building relationships with referral sources and professional contacts
- Contributing to business development activities, networking and specialist content
- Working closely with health, social care and rehabilitation professionals
Salary & Benefits
- Hybrid working (2-3 days per week in the office)
- 35-hour working week
