This is an excellent opportunity for a Private Client Solicitor or experienced Fee Earner to join a busy and well-established Cheshire office, stepping straight into a successful, well-managed caseload.
The role suits someone who enjoys handling a broad range of private client matters and wants stability, structure and support, without the pressure of building a caseload from the ground up.
You’ll be joining a friendly, approachable team where client care is taken seriously, and good work is recognised.
Who we’re looking for
- Solicitor with 1–2 years’ PQE in Private Client work
- OR an experienced Paralegal / Fee Earner already running their own Wills & Probate caseload
- Experience handling Wills, Probate and LPAs independently
- Strong IT skills and confidence working in a paper-light environment
- Comfortable dealing directly with clients and managing matters end-to-end
- Some experience or interest in business development (Desired)
- Exposure to trusts, tax and Court of Protection work (Desired)
What you’ll be doing
- Managing a busy Private Client caseload from instruction to completion
- Handling estate administration, including Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration
- Preparing and dealing with IHT, Income Tax and CGT matters
- Drafting Wills and advising on tax mitigation and Deeds of Variation
- Advising on and drafting LPAs and EPAs
- Advising elderly and vulnerable clients and managing financial affairs where required
- Supporting Court of Protection applications and ongoing deputyship matters
- Maintaining high standards of client care and compliance
- Contributing to business development and client relationships where appropriate
