Private Client Solicitor
Hot Job
- Bonus of 10–20% on billings above target — without unrealistic pressure
- Clear route to Head of Department with genuine long-term progression
- Complex HNW private client work with autonomy from day one
A lot of private client roles promise progression. Far fewer genuinely offer the space, support and long-term opportunity to step into a leadership position.
This Greater Manchester-based opportunity is ideal for a technically strong private client lawyer who wants more than just another caseload. The team is continuing to grow and is looking for someone who can take ownership of high-quality work while gradually becoming a bigger part of the department’s future.
You’ll advise a strong client base of high-net-worth individuals, families and business owners on trusts, estate administration, inheritance tax planning and wider succession matters. The work is varied, relationship-driven and properly advisory in nature — not high-volume drafting or transactional churn.
In the shorter term, the focus will be on getting hold of an established caseload and becoming a trusted technical presence within the team. Longer term, there’s a very realistic route towards Head of Department for someone who wants to progress into leadership. Importantly, there’s no sense of waiting around for years behind layers of hierarchy before opportunities become available.
The culture itself is professional, collaborative and refreshingly down-to-earth. Targets are sensible, flexibility is trusted rather than micromanaged, and the emphasis is firmly on quality of work and long-term client relationships.
