We’re looking for a senior Care Solicitor to step into a leadership position within a well-established family law team in Blackburn.

This is a rare chance to take the reins, either as overall Head of the Public Family team or potentially as one of two sub-team leads (private and public), working alongside the existing leadership.

This is an opportunity to combine your advocacy expertise and Children Panel membership with strategic oversight, team leadership, and high-quality fee-earning work in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Who we’re looking for

  • Solicitor, ideally Partner or Senior Associate level
  • Children Panel accredited
  • Strong advocacy skills
  • Previous experience managing or leading a team
  • Driven, authentic, approachable and aligned with the firm’s values of being supportive, consistent, and honest

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading and managing the public family team (and potentially the wider family department)
  • Running your own caseload of care and childcare matters
  • Providing strategic direction and meeting team-wide financial targets
  • Supervising and developing solicitors and support staff across the family team
  • Building relationships with local authorities, guardians, and other stakeholders
  • Driving quality client service while fostering a collaborative, friendly team culture
