Family Partner

Hot Job

Apply now
  • Family Partner role focused purely on high-net-worth work
  • No following required and no business development expectations
  • Up to 4 days working from home with a strong salary and bonus structure

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Family Partner to join a Tier 1 Legal 500 family team in Manchester, without the usual pressures that come with partnership.

You’ll step into a role where the work is already there. New enquiries are generated by a large, well-established marketing function and allocated to you; your role is to convert them and run the cases. There’s no requirement to bring a following, no expectation to network, and no management or departmental leadership burden.

The focus is on what you do best: advising high-net-worth clients on complex family matters, supported by a strong team around you.

Who we’re looking for

  • Experienced Family Partner
  • Strong background in high-net-worth private family work
  • Comfortable advising clients with assets of £5m+
  • Confident running complex cases autonomously
  • Happy to support and supervise junior lawyers working on your matters
  • No requirement to have a following or interest in business development

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing your own caseload of exclusively high-net-worth private family matters
  • Converting firm-generated enquiries into ongoing instructions
  • Delegating to and supervising your allocated junior team (training, reviews, sign-offs)
  • Working collaboratively within a large, well-resourced family team
  • Delivering exceptional client care on complex, sensitive cases
  • There are no BD targets, no networking expectations, and no formal management responsibilities beyond supporting the team working on your files

Salary & Benefits

  • Highly competitive salary, genuinely flexible and open for the right person
  • Quarterly bonus linked to billing targets
  • Additional bonus if quarterly targets are hit consistently
  • Up to 4 days working from home (Thursday office day)
  • Part-time considered (4 days)
  • Private healthcare
  • Holiday entitlement increases with length of service
  • Supportive wellbeing offering and social events (no pressure to attend)
  • Strong investment in personal development
