Family Partner
Hot Job
- Work 4 days from home, with no requirement to bring a following or generate your own work
- Handle exclusively HNW and UHNW family matters while enjoying up to four days working from home
- Join a Tier 1 Legal 500 team where you can focus on exceptional client work rather than management and business development
For many experienced Family Partners, the next move isn’t about finding more work, it’s about finding better work, greater flexibility and the freedom to focus on what you do best.
This is a rare opportunity to join one of the country’s leading family law teams without the pressure of bringing a client following or spending your time networking.
You’ll advise on some of the most complex and financially significant family disputes in the market, while enjoying a level of flexibility that’s often missing from firms handling work of this calibre. Although the team is recognised for acting in high-profile cases, the reality is far more resolution-focused than many lawyers assume. The majority of matters are resolved without reaching trial, with mediation and negotiated settlements forming a significant part of the team’s approach. When cases do proceed to court, it’s because the complexity and value of the issues genuinely demand it.
You’ll also have the support of your own dedicated team, helping to develop junior lawyers through supervision and mentoring, without the burden of formal people management. It’s a collaborative environment where experienced lawyers are trusted to work independently, manage their own time and build long-term careers.
Who we’re looking for
- Experienced Family Partner or senior Family Solicitor with substantial experience in privately funded family law
- Strong background handling high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth financial remedy matters
- Comfortable managing complex divorce and financial cases independently
- Experience supervising and mentoring junior lawyers
- Strong client relationship and client conversion skills
- Confident working autonomously within a hybrid environment
- Collaborative, approachable and supportive attitude
- No client following required
What you’ll be doing
- Managing your own caseload of HNW and UHNW family matters
- Converting high-quality enquiries generated through the firm’s marketing activity
- Advising clients on complex divorce, financial remedy and related family law matters
- Working closely with dedicated support staff to deliver an exceptional client experience
- Supervising, mentoring and supporting junior lawyers within your team
- Delegating work, reviewing files and supporting development where appropriate
- Collaborating with colleagues across the wider Family department on complex matters
Salary & Benefits
- Salary from £120,000+ depending on experience
- Quarterly bonus scheme
- Up to four days working from home each week
- Open to four-day working
- Private healthcare
- Tier 1 Legal 500 team
- No business development targets
- No requirement to bring a following
- No formal management responsibilities
- Dedicated marketing team generating a consistent flow of enquiries
- Internal training programme with weekly knowledge-sharing sessions
- Twice-yearly career reviews with clear progression based on performance rather than PQE
- Increasing annual leave with length of service
- Supportive, collaborative culture with regular social events
