This Liverpool-based Partner role is a key hire as part of wider growth plans, with a clear focus on strengthening the Family offering across Merseyside and beyond.
You’ll be stepping into an established national team with a strong reputation and a consistent flow of high-quality work, but with the scope to make the Liverpool presence your own.
From the outset, you’ll take ownership of your own client base while building out the local offering. There’s already a strong internal network generating referrals, meaning you’re not solely reliant on external business development to succeed, but you’ll have the platform to grow your own relationships and profile in the market.
Over time, the role evolves into something much bigger than fee-earning. You’ll play a central part in shaping the direction of the Family team locally, contributing to national strategy, mentoring junior lawyers and helping build a sustainable, high-performing team around you.
The culture is collaborative and commercially minded without being political. You’ll be working alongside other senior lawyers across different practice areas, giving you access to a broad client base and the ability to offer genuinely joined-up advice.

Who we’re looking for
- Partner or Senior Family Solicitor ready for partnership
- Strong experience handling complex private family matters
- Proven track record of business development and work generation
- Commercially aware with strong billing history
- Collaborative mindset with interest in team building and mentoring
- Confident working with HNW and high-profile clients
- Established network of contacts/referrers (Desired)
What you’ll be doing
- Leading and growing the Family practice in Liverpool
- Managing a caseload of high-value, complex family matters
- Building relationships internally to generate cross-referral work
- Driving business development and raising your market profile
- Collaborating with other departments on multi-disciplinary matters
- Supporting and mentoring junior lawyers
- Contributing to the strategic direction and growth of the wider team
