We’re working with a specialist litigation team to recruit an experienced Industrial Disease Fee Earner for their Macclesfield office.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take the lead on a litigated Industrial Disease caseload, with a particular focus on Ministry of Defence claims, including military noise-induced hearing loss. You’ll be stepping into a team handling over 1,000 live files, with plenty of scope to grow into a senior or even leadership position over time.
You’ll work closely with the Head of Department and provide informal support to junior colleagues, playing a key role in the team’s development and success.
Who we’re looking for
- 3+ years’ experience handling Industrial Disease claims
- Litigation experience from inception through to settlement
- Ability to supervise or support junior colleagues
- Strong knowledge of CPR, statutory legislation, compliance, and relevant case law
- Proven billing record and confidence in managing performance expectations
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- IT-literate and comfortable using digital case systems
What you’ll be doing
- Managing a full litigated ID caseload with a focus on MOD claims
- Navigating all aspects of litigation including liability, quantum, matrix offers, and settlement
- Supporting junior fee earners and paralegals as a senior presence in the team
- Liaising with clients, insurers, and internal departments to ensure compliance and best practice
- Helping to embed a high standard of service and technical excellence across the department
- Contributing to team growth and mentoring as the department expands
Salary & Benefits
- Up to £45,000 depending on experience
