This is an exciting opportunity for a Newly Qualified Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join a highly regarded, top 150 law firm in Wigan.

The team is planning ahead and is looking to bring in an NQ who can grow with the department. This role offers a genuine progression opportunity for the right individual.

You’ll handle your own straightforward matters while assisting on complex and unusual commercial disputes from day one.

Who we’re looking for

• Newly Qualified Solicitor with a commercial litigation seat or background (Desired)
• Experience assisting on contested debt recovery, breach of contract claims, injunctions or similar disputes (Desired)
• Hard-working and keen to learn
• Outgoing, team-oriented and willing to get involved in discussions around cases
• Commercially aware and interested in developing technically

What you’ll be doing

• Running your own less complex commercial litigation matters including:

– Contested debt recovery
– Breach of contract claims
– Legal expense insurance disputes

• Assisting the Partner and senior lawyers on more complex work
• Gaining exposure to unusual and specialist litigation work handled by a small number of panel firms nationally
• Developing technical expertise while building client relationships
