OL/EL/PL Solicitor

Apply now
  • Remote-first role with the flexibility to work from the Macclesfield office whenever you prefer
  • Take full ownership of your own Employer’s Liability, Public Liability and Occupiers’ Liability caseload
  • Join a growing litigation team with genuine opportunities to progress as the department expands

If you’re an EL/PL solicitor or fee earner who’s ready to be trusted with your own caseload, this could be the move you’ve been looking for.

You’ll join a growing team with a consistent pipeline of quality work, giving you the autonomy to manage your own files from instruction through to settlement or trial. Rather than spending your time waiting for decisions or working under close supervision, you’ll be trusted to take ownership of your cases, make sound judgments and deliver the best possible outcomes for your clients.

From day one, you’ll inherit a varied caseload covering employer’s liability, public liability and occupiers’ liability claims. As you settle into the role, you’ll continue refining your technical expertise, building strong relationships with clients and developing your approach across a broad range of liability matters.

The team has been built around flexibility and trust. You’ll have the freedom to work remotely while remaining part of a supportive, collaborative environment where help is always available when you need it. As the department continues to grow, there will be plenty of scope to take on greater responsibility and develop your career.

Who we’re looking for

  • Solicitor or Fee Earner with at least two years’ experience handling EL, PL and OL claims
  • Proven ability to manage a litigated caseload independently
  • Strong understanding of employer’s liability, public liability and occupiers’ liability litigation
  • Excellent client care and communication skills
  • Organised with strong attention to detail and effective case management skills
  • Able to work independently while contributing positively to the wider team
  • Experience using Proclaim or another case management system (desirable)

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing your own caseload of employer’s liability, public liability and occupiers’ liability claims
  • Handling matters from instruction through to settlement or trial
  • Advising clients throughout the claims process
  • Investigating liability and quantum to develop effective case strategies
  • Liaising with counsel, medical experts, insurers and other third parties
  • Negotiating settlements where appropriate
  • Maintaining excellent file management, compliance and client care standards

Salary & benefits

  • Competitive salary depending on experience
  • Remote-first working with the option to work from the Macclesfield office
  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • Genuine progression opportunities as the department continues to grow
  • Supportive, collaborative and non-corporate culture
  • Modern systems and technology to support flexible working
