A long-standing regional law firm is looking for a passionate Care Solicitor to join its well-established team based across West Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on your own caseload and be in court from the outset, with the support of experienced lawyers and the chance to grow into a senior position within the department.
The care team has a strong reputation for handling a wide range of legal aid matters, with a regular flow of referrals from local authorities and a solid pipeline of work. You’ll be supervised by a senior director who is panel-accredited and hugely experienced in care law and advocacy.
You’ll receive close mentorship and be encouraged to develop into a future leader in the department, with the opportunity to grow your caseload, skills and courtroom confidence over time.
Who we’re looking for
- 3–7 PQE solicitor with care proceedings experience
- Confident in advocacy or actively building advocacy skills
- Able to manage a varied caseload independently
- Proactive, commercially aware and highly organised
- Personable, driven and ready to grow within a collaborative team
- Panel membership is a bonus, but not essential
Salary & Benefits
- £35,000–£40,000 depending on experience
- Hybrid working – 3 days in the office, 2 from home
- 25 days’ holiday, increasing to 30 with service, plus birthday off
- Individual and team bonus (paid annually in February)
