This is a great opportunity for a Private Client Solicitor or experienced Private Client fee earner to join a well-established and very supportive Private Client team in Liverpool.

You’ll be trusted to manage your own caseload of probate, estate administration and trust matters from instruction through to conclusion, with appropriate supervision available when needed.

The team is known for being approachable, collegiate and technically strong, making this an excellent environment for someone who wants autonomy without being left isolated.

Who we’re looking for

  • Private Client Solicitor (1–3 PQE), experienced fee earner or senior paralegal
  • Experience handling probate and estate administration matters from start to finish
  • Sound understanding of probate processes, inheritance tax and estate administration
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently and exercise good judgment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident decision-maker with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working proactively and managing competing deadlines
  • IT-literate with experience using case management systems (Desired)
  • A team player who is happy to support colleagues when required

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing a caseload of estate administration, probate and trust matters
  • Communicating with clients and third parties by phone, email, video call and post
  • Drafting legal documents including deeds of variation, affidavits, legal statements and estate accounts
  • Identifying income tax and capital gains tax liabilities
  • Running files from receipt of client care documentation through to completion
  • Delegating tasks to administrative staff where appropriate
  • Working closely with solicitors, senior team members and the head of department on technical issues
  • Supporting wider team objectives and collaborating with colleagues on Wills and LPAs
