Are you an experienced Private Client Lawyer looking for more autonomy, quality work and the chance to make a genuine impact without the pressures of a formal Head of Department role?

This well-established West Yorkshire firm is looking for a Private Client Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or experienced Fee Earner to join its Bingley office, near Bradford.

You’ll inherit an existing caseload covering wills, probate, estate administration and LPAs, including more complex and higher-value estates. With demand already exceeding capacity, there’s no need to build a caseload from scratch.

As the most senior Private Client lawyer in the office, you’ll work alongside the wider department’s leadership while providing support to an existing part-time CILEX fee earner. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the local offering, improve processes and potentially progress into a Team Lead role.

The culture is friendly, relaxed and supportive, with minimal micromanagement and a genuine focus on trust, client service and sustainable workloads rather than rigid targets.

Who we’re looking for

• Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or similarly experienced Fee Earner (E)
• Strong experience in wills, probate, estate administration and LPAs (E)
• Experience handling complex estate administration (E)
• Ability to manage a Private Client caseload independently (E)
• Private practice background (E)
• Strong technical knowledge and file management skills (E)
• Excellent client care and communication (E)
• Friendly, approachable and self-sufficient (E)
• Collaborative, professional and client-focused approach (E)
• Previous supervision or mentoring experience (D)
• Interest in developing junior colleagues (D)
• Commercial awareness and departmental growth experience (D)

• Managing an established Private Client caseload

Salary & Benefits

• Salary up to approximately £65,000, depending on experience
• Hybrid working – up to 2 days from home
