Are you a Private Client Partner or Principal Associate ready to take the next step at a leading national law firm?

This is a unique opportunity to help lead a team in Birmingham for a Top 40 UK law firm with clear ambitions to break into the Top 30. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the firm’s presence across the West Midlands, bringing your own network, converting contacts into instructions, and helping grow the team.

You’ll be joining a collaborative and supportive national Private Client team known for its inclusive culture and focus on wellbeing. With a hybrid structure, ambitious growth plans, and a track record of internal promotions, this firm offers a genuinely exciting platform for someone looking to build something of their own while being fully backed by senior leadership.

Who we’re looking for

  • Current Partner or Principal Associate with progression ambitions
  • Established client base in Birmingham/West Midlands
  • Qualified Solicitor with strong technical expertise in Private Client law
  • Business development and networking experience
  • STEP qualification or working towards (desirable)
  • Commercially minded, proactive, and collaborative
  • Confident, relationship-focused and values-led


What you’ll be doing

  • Build and deliver a business plan focused on the West Midlands
  • Generate work from your own contacts and convert leads
  • Manage your own private client caseload (HNW, trusts, estates)
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the firm and support junior team members
  • Split your time between the Birmingham office and home (50/50 hybrid)

Salary & benefits

  • £100,000–£140,000, depending on network and BD capabilities
  • Hybrid working: 50% home / 50% office
