This Leeds-based role sits within a Private Client team that’s actively growing and rebalancing its structure. With senior lawyers already in place, the focus now is on bringing in an Associate who can take on high-quality work and develop quickly, rather than being stuck on routine files.
From the start, you’ll run your own caseload of HNW private client matters, supported closely by Partners. The work is consistently high calibre, taxable estates, trusts and complex estate planning, so you’ll be building technical expertise far earlier than in most mid-level roles.
Over time, you’ll become more involved in complex matters alongside senior colleagues, developing both your technical skills and client relationships. There’s a clear pathway to progress as the team continues to grow, with opportunities to step up as your experience develops.
The team itself is close-knit and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on doing good work properly. There’s no push for high-volume billing, the focus is on quality advice, long-term client relationships and sustainable progression.

Who we’re looking for
- Qualified Solicitor with 3–6 PQE in Private Client
- Experience handling probate and taxable estates
- Exposure to HNW client work
- Strong technical foundation with a willingness to develop further
- Confident communicator with strong client care skills
- Commercially aware and organised
- Collaborative with a long-term career mindset
- Experience with trusts or estate planning (Desired)

- Managing your own caseload of HNW private client matters
- Advising on wills, probate, trusts and estate planning
- Handling taxable estates and complex administrations
- Supporting Partners and senior colleagues on high-value work
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Developing technical expertise in more complex areas over time
- Delivering high standards of client care and compliance
