Private Family Solicitor

Apply now
  • Purely private family caseload with dedicated paralegal and secretarial support
  • Uncapped monthly bonus structure rewarding strong billing and cash recovery
  • Join a stable, well-supported team with flexibility, progression and your own office

This is an excellent opportunity for a family solicitor looking to join a structured, supportive and high-performing team handling exclusively privately funded work.

Based in Cheshire, you’ll step into a busy and established department with the support infrastructure already in place to help you succeed. Every solicitor has their own dedicated paralegal, alongside additional secretarial and administrative support, allowing you to focus on delivering excellent outcomes for clients rather than being weighed down by admin.

You’ll manage a broad caseload of privately funded family matters, including financial remedy work and private children matters, while benefiting from a collaborative team environment across the Cheshire offices.

This role would suit someone who enjoys being busy, takes pride in delivering high standards of client care and wants to be part of a professional, down-to-earth team where people genuinely pull together. The culture is proactive, supportive and hard-working, with a strong emphasis on reliability, teamwork and getting stuck in.

There’s also genuine earning potential here, with an uncapped monthly bonus structure linked to cash recovery and billing performance, alongside flexibility around working patterns for the right person.

Who we’re looking for

  • Qualified Family Solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE
  • Strong experience handling privately funded family law matters
  • Comfortable managing a caseload independently
  • Experience advising on private children and financial remedy matters
  • Strong organisation and case management skills
  • Confident supervising and working closely with a paralegal
  • Hard-working, proactive and reliable
  • Personable with excellent client care skills
  • Someone who thrives in a busy, team-oriented environment

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing your own privately funded family caseload
  • Advising clients on private children and financial remedy matters
  • Drafting and progressing matters through to conclusion
  • Delivering high standards of client care and communication
  • Working closely with your allocated paralegal
  • Meeting financial and cash recovery targets
  • Collaborating with the wider family team across offices

  • Salary up to £57,500 depending on experience
  • Uncapped monthly bonus structure
  • Dedicated paralegal support
  • Full secretarial and admin support
  • 23 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Birthday off
  • Additional annual leave with service
  • Health Shield healthcare cash plan
  • Free on-site parking
  • Investors in People accredited firm
  • Structured, supportive team environment
  • Hybrid working post-probation (1 day from home)
  • Flexible start and finish times available
  • Open to compressed hours or 4-day working week for the right person
