A family law boutique in Leeds is recruiting for a newly qualified to join its close-knit team as a Family Solicitor and enjoy an unrivalled learning experience that will set you up for a hugely successful career in HNW private family law.

The true beauty of this position is that you’ll be part of a smaller team and get exposure to work you usually wouldn’t touch until much later in your career.  

You’ll support on high-value divorce, finance and private children work cases involving complex finances and assets, working directly with the award-winning Managing Partner of the firm, who has over 10 years of national family law experience.  

You’ll build your technical and commercial expertise quickly, opening doors to progression opportunities at a faster rate than your peers. This includes progression from Solicitor to Associate and support to get there. 

The firm has a fantastic, growing profile, and is consistently shortlisted for regional and national awards – recent titles include “Family Law Firm of the Year” and “Managing Partner of the Year”.  

Junior solicitors are also supported to build their own profile in the family market through, amongst other things, awards submissions and the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners directories. Several of the team have been shortlisted for Family Law awards. 

You will be given a high level of trust and be able to work from home for part of your week, supporting your work/life balance. Nobody in the firm works long hours or into the evenings and weekends and you’ll get a lot of support on your caseload and in terms of your development.  

The right person will be comfortable assisting or running their own private family law cases and show an interest in supporting with BD and networking activities, such as attending events with referrers (e.g. accountants, financial advisors). This will help further propel your progression, getting you ready for a Senior Associate and Partner positions in the future.
