RTA Fee Earner

Apply now
  • Work remotely with the option to use the Macclesfield office whenever you choose
  • Take ownership of your own litigated RTA caseload from day one with real autonomy
  • Join a growing team where progression comes naturally as the department expands

Not every RTA role gives you the trust to simply get on with the job.

This one does.

You’ll join a growing litigation team where you’ll be trusted to manage your own caseload from instruction through to settlement or trial. There are no unnecessary layers of supervision or complicated approval processes, just the autonomy to make decisions, progress your files efficiently and deliver the best possible outcomes for your clients.

From your first day, you’ll inherit a steady pipeline of work, allowing you to focus on what you do best rather than worrying about where your next case is coming from. You’ll quickly settle into your caseload, build relationships with clients and continue developing your litigation expertise across a varied range of RTA matters.

The role has been designed around flexibility. While the team enjoys working together, there’s no expectation that you spend your week in the office. You’ll have the freedom to work remotely while remaining fully supported by an approachable, collaborative team whenever you need it.

As the department continues to grow, so will the opportunities available to you. Whether your ambition is to develop technically, take on more complex work or progress into a more senior position, you’ll be joining at an exciting stage in the team’s development.

Who we’re looking for

  • Solicitor or Fee Earner with at least two years’ experience handling RTA claims
  • Proven ability to manage a litigated RTA caseload independently
  • Strong understanding of RTA litigation and Civil Procedure Rules
  • Excellent client care and communication skills
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities
  • Comfortable working autonomously while remaining a collaborative team player
  • Experience using case management systems (Proclaim desirable)

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing your own caseload of RTA claims from instruction through to conclusion
  • Advising clients throughout the litigation process
  • Investigating liability and quantum and developing case strategy
  • Negotiating with insurers and third parties
  • Liaising with counsel, medical experts and other professionals
  • Preparing matters for settlement or trial where required
  • Maintaining excellent file management, compliance and client care standards

Salary & benefits

  • Competitive salary depending on experience
  • Remote-first working with the option to work from the Macclesfield office
  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • Genuine progression opportunities as the team continues to grow
  • Supportive, collaborative and non-corporate culture
  • Modern technology enabling flexible, efficient working
