  • Shape the future of a Legal 500 corporate team with an existing flow of quality work
  • Top-end salary, generous bonus potential and real lifestyle balance

A highly respected Yorkshire law firm is looking for an experienced Corporate Solicitor to join its corporate and commercial team as part of a strategic succession plan. You’ll initially join the firm’s management team as an Associate Director with a view to progressing to the Board and becoming Head of Corporate in the near future.

This is a unique opportunity to take over from a long-serving figure within the firm and steady the ship before leading the next stage of growth. There is a strong foundation of work already in place, including legacy clients in the tech sector, and the wider firm’s leadership is highly supportive of growth and investment in the corporate offering.

You’ll enjoy a friendly and professional culture that strikes a rare balance—offering the ambition and quality of a city-centre firm with the flexibility and humanity of a regional practice.

Who we’re looking for

  • 5–8 PQE+ with experience across M&A and corporate advisory matters
  • Background in a mid-sized or full-service firm preferred
  • Strong business development credentials and desire to grow a department
  • Able to supervise junior team members and operate with autonomy
  • Based within reach of Harrogate, York or Leeds

Salary & benefits

  • £90,000–£95,000 depending on experience
  • Profit share bonus (up to 10% of billings above target, more for those with a following)
  • Five weeks’ annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing with service)
  • Holiday purchase scheme (up to one working week)
  • Optional company pension (3% employer contribution)
  • Westfield Health cash plan and Champion Health wellbeing platform
  • Life cover (4x salary after qualifying period)
  • Professional study support
  • Cycle to Work scheme and season ticket loan
  • Free Will service and discounted legal fees for staff and family
  • Flexible working with hybrid model and time-banking (up to a day per quarter)
  • Monthly socials and open financial performance reporting
