Realm Recruit is about to celebrate its fourth birthday, which gives me, in my opinion at least, a justifiable opportunity to blow our own trumpet and celebrate the team’s successes of the last 12 months.
When, at this time last year, I reflected on the preceding 12 months, I noted how all of us within the business had come to live and breathe the core values that the six of us had collectively agreed upon towards the end of 2017. I also celebrated our collective decision to narrow our focus and concentrate on just a handful of legal practice areas. Another 12 months on and I think it is difficult to overstate the positive impact these two things have had – our core values have come to be the fabric of the business, whilst Realm is ever-increasingly known for our truly refreshing approach, and our senior consultants, Joseph, Kelly and Paula are more and more becoming the go-to recruiters within the practice areas they recruit into.
All of this has shone through in the financial results, with like-for-like revenue growth in the region of 50% and profitability improved, in the region of 20%. It isn’t all about the financial though; we’ve helped many of our clients to significantly grow and/or transform their business and assisted many individuals to take an important step in their career.
We’ve received some fantastic client testimonials this year, and have been described as a ‘real partner to transform your recruitment strategy’ and as being a ‘world ahead of competitors’. I’m proud of the already strong relationships we had with many clients, which we’ve continued to strengthen, and I’m also proud of the many new client relationships that we have established this year.
There’ve been lots of individual milestones and successes within the four walls of Realm too these past 12 months. I was able to reward both Joseph and Paula for the strength of their performances and loyalty with promotion to Senior Consultant. We also saw Becci externally recognised, winning PA of the Year at the Manchester Young Talent Awards. We were also very privileged as a group to welcome Lucy to the team, as we became a seven.
Whilst I’m proud of everything we as a team have achieved over the last year, with real momentum behind us, I’m even more excited about the prospect of what the next 12 months will bring, with further expansion planned as we enter our fifth year of trading.
