In this instalment of Realm Talks To… Principal Consultant Paula caught up with Colin Davies, Senior Family Lawyer at Kuits.
In the interview, Colin explains what he considers to be the proudest moment of his career, how he’s grown to appreciate a night out and which three people he’d invite to his dream dinner party.
How do you usually start your working day?
Coffee, coffee, then another coffee.
What’s been the proudest moment of your career so far?
It’s corny, but qualifying as a solicitor. I had wanted to be a lawyer from an early age (once it became apparent that I was never going to play football for Liverpool!). I was the first in my family to attend university and then to be able to follow through my ambitions to qualification was quite something.
Do you have a favourite podcast?
I have a couple that I regularly dip in and out of – In Our Time, with Melvyn Bragg and That Peter Crouch Podcast.
Do you prefer a night in or a night out?
I used to be very much a night in person with the occasional night out but the last 18 months have made me appreciate a good night out so I’m becoming more of a night out sort of guy.
Which 3 people would you invite to your dream dinner party?
Leonard Da Vinci (he must be one of the busiest dinner guests around), Hugh Laurie (good conversation during dinner and will provide great music afterwards) and Bill Shankly (great Liverpool manager, although my wife says she would prefer that I invite Jurgen Klopp!)
