Realm Talks To... Kirsten Bennett

Posted on 21/7/2022 by Realm Recruit

In this instalment of Realm Talks To, Family Team Lead Paula Pawlowska spoke to Kirsten Bennett, Managing Director and Co-founder of Lund Bennett. During their conversation, Kirsten explained why she decided to set up Lund Bennett, what sets Lund Bennett apart and who she turns to for advice.

How do you usually start your working day?

My day generally starts with a trip to the gym or a workout of some description. When I arrive at the office, I get a cup of coffee and open my emails and before I know where I am it’s 6pm!

You co-founded Lund Bennett in 2012 - what motivated you to set up your own law firm?

Partly the flexibility and satisfaction that being your own boss brings but also being able to fully take responsibility for the experience of clients. I also have control to ensure that clients get a first-class service whilst still achieving incredible value for money.

What makes Lund Bennett different from other family boutiques?

We’ve been acting for high-net-worth clients for over a decade, our experience and approach are second to none which is why such a large proportion of our business comes from personal referrals.

Who do you turn to for advice?

My mother. She had a varied and influential career consulting with a variety of businesses and has always got an interesting angle on any quandary I might have. Simon McCrum from McCrum Consulting has also been a fantastic source of support to me over the years.

What do you like to do away from the office?

I love to stay active and have a passion for cycling and triathlon.

What’s your signature dish?

Empty fridge masala surprise. I seem to have an enviable ability to create something tasty and nutritious out of a random selection of not very much.
